How Our Work Reads Against The Global Goals
Our members' work sits directly against four of the Sustainable Development Goals. Organizing informal workers into recognized, contracted, and safer employment advances SDG 8 on decent work and economic growth. Reliable collection and sorting in under-served neighbourhoods advances SDG 11 on sustainable cities and communities. Recovering [X,XXX] tonnes of material each year for reuse and recycling advances SDG 12 on responsible consumption and production. And diverting organics and recyclables from open dumping and burning advances SDG 13 on climate action, with an estimated [X,XXX] tCO₂e avoided annually using [method / source].
